The Bare Essentials

Writing serves as a canvas on which the prints of my life take form. I am certainly candid in my revelations but there is plenty that remains discreet. I am perfectly satisfied with keeping what ought remain in the private sphere. I do not write with the aim of being sensational and neither do I do write with finesse (my readership stands at 2-3 hits a day, which really isn't a complaint at all because I do not need any acknowledgement, adoration or praise). I find the experience of keeping a journal pleasurable, because it has helped to make my reality (both past and present) more comprehensible.

There is a lot that I am fascinated with, but the main theme of my diary pertains to change and the search for my identity. Being an expat-student is a milestone in my life in more ways than one. As a person, I am absolutely spontaneous and am thrilled by unpredictability. Regimentation and routine is my greatest malaise. I need creative room to breathe. I aspire to be a successful lawyer working pro-bono (I am committed to the fight against social injustice), with a lovely cross-bred terrier, and an equally delightful bachelorette pad. That is all I have for now.
